PHIL
(unknown QH x unknown Morgan)
1998 black chestnut mare
· 14.3 hands
· Broke to ride
· Broke to ground drive
· Loves to jump
· Very powerful mover. Lots of impulsion.
· Good walk, but can be tense
· Square trot with good lengthenings
· Balanced canter
· Lineage is unknown, but she has proven herself in the mountains and in the arena
Phil is a half Morgan half Quarter Horse cross. I rescued her and her mother
when Phil was just 2 months old. I was only 18 at the time and didn't really
know anything about Morgans. Phil's mother was a registered Morgan, but I
cannot for the life of me remember what her registered name was or what any
of her bloodlines were. I sold Phil's dam at weaning time and am not sure
where she is now. I have searched the AMHA database countless times for a
mare that matches her description, age, and markings, but with no luck. I
think that Phil's Morgan lineage is forever lost to me and I just have to be
happy with one really good horse.
Phil is the go anywhere, do anything horse. She has been my riding partner
for 10 years and I have cherished every minute. She truly is my partner.
I really do love this Morgan/QH cross, especially for reining horses. In the
future I would like to purchase some QH broodmares with Reminic and
Hollywood Jack 86 bloodlines to cross with my Morgan stallions. I think
that these crosses are a good way to get some Morgans into the hands of
folks that show at the open shows. They will buy the horse for the QH part
of the cross and fall in love with the Morgan try and temperament. Then they
will come back for a full Morgan!
We have bred Phil 2 times to NR Mighty Mouse and the 3/4 Morgans that
resulted have been really great horses. There is not a lot of consistency of
type, which is to be expected from this hybrid type of a cross, but the
temperaments and the using ability have been there both times.

BR AC GI GI
(Rogue's Thunderhawk x BR AC Texas Blonde)
2007 chestnut mare
· 14.2 Hands
· Very quiet, sensible temperament
· Reining horse prospect
· Easy mover with a free shoulder
· Nice, rocking horse canter
· 20.31% Funquest Falcon
· 17.97% The Brown Falcon
· 15.43% Flyhawk
· 12.50% Funquest Prophet
Gi Gi is one of my favorite mares. She is the reason that I fell in love
with the Funquest line of Morgans. I owe a great thanks to Beth Binion of
Best Morgans in Newalla, OK for convincing me to take a chance on her. Gi Gi
is a young mare who is just starting her saddle training, but I can already
see her potential when I watch her lope across the pasture. She has all the
makings of a young reining horse prospect and I am very excited to watch how
she progresses.
Gi Gi will always be small and she has a plain type of head, but what she
lacks in style and size she makes up for in physical ability. I have a
feeling that this filly will continue to knock my socks off!

one of my most favorite stallions, S Bar B Pierre Noire. She is a good using
mare with a no nonsense attitude.

RAGTIME EASY STREET
(H-Saracen x Ragtime Blac Crystal)
1997 smoky black mare
· 15 Hands
· Big bodied mare
· Showy at the trot
· Can be tense at the canter
· 25.00% Warhawk
· 15.23% Flyhawk
· 13.28% Sentola
· 10.94% Glider
· 10.55% Go Hawk
Easy was a spectacular find for me. I was doing some pedigree research and
trying to find horses that traced back to Chingadero in as few generations
as possible, one of those last son of the last daughter type scenarios. That
search let me to Nancy Nard of Ragtime Morgans in Cortez, CO. Easy had been
the favorite riding horse of her late husband and I am honored that she
trusted me to take such a prize mare. Easy is one of the last daughters of
H-Saracen who was the last son of Chingadero. She is also a granddaughter of
the well known Edelweiss Magic Man. Her line breeding report reveals solid
Brunk breeding with Warhawk, Flyhawk, Sentola, Glider, Go Hawk Penrod, and
Daisette showing up in the highest percentages. I also like the addition of
the Waer and government breeding that the dam's side brings.
I truly love this mare. She is tall, big bodied, has a wonderfully short
back and an amazing hip. She is kind and smart with a sweet, loving
attitude. She will be the mare that I use for the stallions that need more
depth through the body and a longer hip.

RAGTIME LITTLEST ANGEL
(Edelweiss Magic Man x S Bar B Chings Sarabetsy)
1998 flaxen liver chestnut mare
· 14.3 Hands
· Very sweet and gentle temperament
· 12.50% Warhawk
· 10.35% Flyhawk
· 8.98% Bennington
· 7.62% Artemisia
Angel is another very special mare from Nancy Nard's breeding program at
Ragtime Morgans in Cortez, CO. She is a daughter of the well known Edelweiss
Magic Man and is a granddaughter of H-Saracen through the dam line. She is
not as tall as Ragtime Easy Street, but she has the same wonderful depth
through the body, that nice long hip and a beautiful feminine face. She has
good substance in the legs and is such a pleasure to have on the farm. Angel
is the perfect name for this sweet girl. She was never broke to ride because
of an injury as a young horse, but she is completely sound now and I will be
starting her lightly under saddle. As an extra bonus, Angel carries the
flaxen gene along with her wonderful liver chestnut coloring.

NOAKES LADY
(Shawalla Scout W x Sunrich Seahawk)
1989 bay mare
· 15 Hands
· Was never broke to ride
· Very kind mare
· Very floaty trot
Noakes Lady is an interesting mare that I stumbled upon while hauling some
horses out of Idaho. I am grateful to Nancy Clare of Wind Ridge Morgans in
Salmon, ID for allowing me to opportunity to get one or two more babies out
of Lady. She is an aged mare and was never broke to ride.
Lady has many things to offer as a breeding animal. She is a good height
with a nice hip length, a good loin coupling and correct legs. She also
offers a style and elegance in her head and neck set. She has a very elegant
way of moving that always makes you want to stop and watch. I was able to
get her in foal on her first heat cycle at 21 years old! I have my fingers
crossed for a filly from this grand old mare to continue her influence in my
future breeding program.

RS MTN CHEYENNE COUNTESS (raf)
(RS Mtn Cheyenne Warrior x Toy Story)
2001 bay mare
Countess' video
· 14.2 1/2 Hands
· Green broke to ride
· Very good breed and gender type
· Sweet temperament
· Strives to please
· Very animated mover
· Forward walk with good overstep
· Strong, forward trot with beautiful suspension
· Wonderful trot lengthenings
· Balanced canter
· 10.16% Bennington
· 8.40% Mansfield
· 7.42% Artemisia
· 7.03% Domino Joe
I have Countess tentatively listed on the sale list. When you are in the horse business
you have to be willing to make the hard decisions. I really like this horse, but her pedigree
does not fit in to my program as tightly as some others and I am willing to let her go to the
right person or family. Countess is not currently registered. I bought her as an unregistered
4 year old. She can be registered, she is out of two registered and DNA'd parents, but it will be
an interesting paper trail. Countess' price includes registration. I will take care of everything when someone buys her.
Countess has a very sensitive nature. She can read your body language and intentions
from across the field and will act accordingly. If you are in a good mood and feeling light
and loving, she is in your hip pocket wanting love and attention. If you are feeling a little aggressive,
however, she reads that instantly and can be quite stand-offish. Countess was roped when she was a young
horse (previous to my purchasing her) and has always had an issue with ropes since I have owned her. She
has made vast improvements, but it is still one of the trigger buttons to make her react. I have done a
lot of natural horsemanship type ground work with her and that has helped things a lot. I also did quite
a bit of ground driving with her to get her desensitized to the ropes being on and around her. She had
a lot of trust issues with people when I first got her and all that ground work helped her to trust me,
but she can still have trouble trusting strangers. I will only sell this mare to someone that will
understand and be sensitive to this mares mental needs. I feel a certain sense of responsibility to
her in that regard. Even with all of her trust issues, she has been a dream to get started under
saddle. She is only green broke to ride at this time, but she has been wonderful every step of the way.
Now onto Countess' good attributes! She is a fantastically beautiful mare. Her face is among the most
beautiful I have seen in a Morgan mare. She has good conformation with a long hip, tight loin coupling,
short back, good shoulder with a nice high neck set and a clean throat latch. She has good legs with
plenty of bone, but not coarse. Her movement is really amazing and you can see that in her video.
She has been very easy to ride and continues to make progress. She will always be a sensitive horse.
She needs a calm encouraging rider. Countess is the kind of horse that once she trusts you, she would
do anything for you, but she makes you really work to earn that trust.
I will be starting Countess in reining horse training this winter.
